Appeal Procedure

At GSMR, we are committed to fairness, transparency, and due process in all certification decisions. Candidates have the right to appeal decisions related to their certification outcome when they believe an error or misjudgment has occurred.

Any individual who has applied for, participated in, or completed the GSMR certification process and disagrees with a decision made by the Certification Authority may submit an appeal.

• Disagreement with exam results
• Denial of certification
• Examination irregularities
• Suspension or revocation of certification
• Disputes related to application processing or eligibility determination

1. Appeals must be submitted in writing within 10 business days of receiving the decision being appealed.
2. Send your appeal to the Certification Administrator at: certification@gsmrgulf.org Subject line: Appeal Submission – [Your Full Name]
3. Clearly state:
   • Your full name and contact information
   • Certification applied for
   • Decision being appealed
   • Detailed explanation of your appeal
   • Any supporting documentation or evidence

• Appeals are forwarded to the Compliance Committee, which operates independently of those involved in the original decision.
• The individuals reviewing the appeals are not part of the original decision-making team.
• A fair and impartial review will be conducted.
• Additional documentation or clarification may be requested from the appellant.

• The final decision will be communicated in writing within 30 business days of the appeal submission.
• The decision of the Governance & Strategic Committee is final and binding.

All appeal submissions are handled with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. GSMR ensures that no adverse action will be taken against any candidate for exercising their right to appeal.
